My first Comic Book

What is the first comic you can remember reading? Was it your gateway book that got you to try other comics or was it something that actually put you off for a time just to be brought in by some other book? My first book was Avengers #135.

I was in third grade and used to walk the five or six blocks to school by myself (wouldn't do that today). On the way home I would sometimes stop at a candy store and buy penny candy. I don't remember what made me stop at the comics rack, but I saw this cover and bought it right then and there. I wonder what else spun on the rack? The cover still seems pretty cool to me. Ultron holding the Vision in a head lock while three Avengers look on in horror.

Back then comics were only $.25 and I had a weekly allowance of $2.00. Wasn't long before I was buying eight comics a week. I guess at current prices, a kid would have to get $32 a week to start their collection as I did. Inflations sucks.
