Rob's Ramblings

Now for something different. As a kid growing up there are certain things that stay with you and make you feel sensations that bring that warm fuzzy feeling. This is one for me. i will never forget going to see this in the movie as a kid. I have always felt that this is my favorite Disney cartoon. I just recently picked up 4 out of seven issues in this collection. This is a scan of issue one. The artist and writer is uncredited. What a shame. It isn't a retelling of the movie. This story starts with Robin teaching the rabbit how to shoot his bow and arrow. It lands in a forest that they believe to be haunted. The sheriff has now been in touch with the Duke form the next town over.
The duke of darkmor isn't familiar with the legend of wild forest so his men aren't afraid. until they case Robin and Lil John into this forest where they come across a dragon. This scares the Dukes men and the Duke becomes personally involved. To find out it is the work of his old wizard who he thinks discovered how to turn certain chemicals into gold. Robin and Lil John use all the wizards tools to scare off the duke and his men along with the sheriff of nottingtonham. This book is just pure fun to read and look at. Some of these old Dells with the Whitman i believe are the reprints. Anyone know for sure? If you need a break from Superhero lore and other books this is the one for you. Enjoy!
