Rob's Rambling

As a native New Yorker you have 2 baseball teams to root for the Mets who were on the verge of winning a play- off spot for the second time in 2 years or the cross town rivals the Yankees. As a die hard Met fan I don't know what to make of the final outcome. They didn't make the play-offs again. The bullpen comes in doesn't get the job done and either does the hitting. What makes it worse is how the GM Omar Minya states that every team was looking for quality pitching. Then how do you explain that during the trading deadline the Twins come up with Sabithia and the Dodgers can get Manny? Not only didn't we get anyone as usual during this time. The start of the regular season is approximately 109 days away and will we see any off season trades or acquisitions like last year all we got was Johann who I have to say is worth every penny or is Minya going to sit on his hands again? I know we have one of the highest pay rolls in baseball but what do we have to show for it? No championship, no playoffs and no real superstar pitcher other than Santana. Pitching will beat hitting any day look at the end of this season Omar and invest in pitching get rid of dead weight Pedro who can probably pitch but will wear down by the end of the season if injury doesn't occur first. Look at what happened with Andy Petite age and tired arm. Get Maine healthy again, get rid of half the bullpen if you state that you are going to use fresh young arms from the minors. Don't know what else I can say except that i am a glutting for punishment and will stand by my team. Your Thoughts !
